Local files

Bliss is a desktop Markdown viewer and editor. Documents live on your computer at paths you choose. Opening, editing, and saving happen locally. Bliss does not upload your document contents to Ana Projects servers.

No accounts, no cloud sync

There is no Bliss account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync product in v1. You do not create a profile to use the app. Collaboration, vaults, and hosted notebooks are outside the product on purpose.

App telemetry (opt-in)

The desktop app can send anonymous product analytics through PostHog, only if you turn that on. Telemetry is off by default. If you never opt in, Bliss does not send those analytics events. Opting in is for understanding whether the app is healthy; it is not a path for reading the text of your documents.

You can change the setting later in the app. Turning telemetry off stops new opt-in analytics from being sent.

This website

The marketing site at blisseditor.com is static pages. On this MVP there is no site analytics product — nothing like Plausible, Fathom, PostHog, or Vercel Analytics is wired up here yet. If that changes, this page will be updated when it goes live.

Like any site, your browser still talks to the host that serves the HTML, and third-party font providers may see a request if fonts load from their CDN. That is ordinary web delivery, not Bliss reading your Markdown files.

Children

Bliss is a general-purpose document tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There is no account system to enroll anyone in.
